ABOUT THE CLUB
The Club was founded in 1993 by dedicated fishmen with the motivation to work as a group to make a difference in our community with
repect to the advancement of sport fishing in the Southern California area.
The focus of the Club has been expanded and
now not only promotes fishing but other social activities via members participation in various fishing and social events. It also provides
fishing information, techniques, and instruction that is useful to new, novis, and experienced fisherman.
The Huntington Beach
Fishing and Recreation Club is also very active in getting kids interested in fishing. Club
members volunteer their time to the
annual "Huck Finn Day" fishing derby at the HB pier, the "Ol' Fishing Hole" fishing derby at Carr Park, and setting up other
kid participation programs.
Monthly fishing outings are routinely scheduled for fresh water, salt water, and surf. Annual
long range fishing trips worldwide are also planned and scheduled.
